Director of Engineering Operations- PE Required - 100% Remote

This position is 100% remote, allowing you the flexibility to work from anywhere.

Base pay range: $170,000.00/yr - $200,000.00/yr

A Bit About Us: The Director of Engineering Operations is responsible for providing strategic leadership by collaborating with management to establish long-term goals, strategies, plans, and policies. This role requires extensive experience in relay protection and control design for high-voltage substations ranging from 15-500 kV, ensuring the development and implementation of advanced engineering solutions that enhance system reliability and performance.

Responsibilities: As the Director of Engineering Operations, your primary responsibilities will include:

• Overseeing the day-to-day operations of the engineering department and ensuring that projects are completed on time and within budget.
• Leading and managing a team of engineers, providing guidance and mentorship to ensure their professional growth.
• Planning, designing, and overseeing the construction and maintenance of high voltage 15-500 kV substations.
• Collaborating with executive leadership to develop and implement strategic plans for the engineering department.
• Developing and maintaining key performance metrics to measure the effectiveness and efficiency of the engineering operations.
• Ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations and standards.
• Continuously improving operational processes and procedures to enhance efficiency and productivity.

Qualifications: To be considered for the Director of Engineering Operations position, you must have the following qualifications:

• A minimum of 5 years of experience in a leadership role within the engineering industry.
• A Professional Engineer (PE) license is required.
• An ABET accredited degree in electrical engineering.
• Strong experience in planning, designing, and overseeing the construction and maintenance of high voltage 15-500 kV substations.
• Proven ability to lead and manage a team of engineers.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively communicate complex technical concepts to a non-technical audience.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen eye for detail and a commitment to quality.
• Proficiency in using engineering software and tools.
• Demonstrated ability to develop and implement strategic plans and initiatives.
• Proven track record of improving operational efficiency and productivity through process improvement.
