Overview

Family Intervention Program Supervisor - Remote in ME. This position is remote in Maine with travel based on client needs. Located within the HOMEBUILDERS program, an evidence-based family preservation model.

The HOMEBUILDERS Supervisor is responsible for supervising theHOMEBUILDERS team within the respective region and state, including clinical supervision and management of the HOMEBUILDERS Specialist position. The role operates with moderate supervision and must follow agency procedures, along with federal and state regulatory requirements.

Essential Job Responsibilities
  • Adhere to all supervisor components in the HOMEBUILDERS Standards.
  • Manage, develop, and train the team, providing weekly supervision.
  • Build a cohesive team and maintain positive employee morale.
  • Ensure agency policies and procedures are enforced through evaluations, conference requests, time sheets, and reimbursement vouchers.
  • Oversee hiring, training, disciplinary action, and orientation processes in accordance with agency expectations.
  • Ensure direct reports adhere to HOMEBUILDERS Standards.
  • Receive referrals, provide consultation and support 24/7, ensuring client eligibility and intake sessions within 24 hours of referral.
  • Provide coverage of the emergency and crisis system.
  • Back-up to HOMEBUILDERS Specialists as needed; consult with Specialists, management, and the consultant on client and community safety concerns; ensure each client intervention plan addresses safety issues.
  • Ensure Specialists provide clinical, concrete, and advocacy services aligned with the model and family values, learning styles, lifestyle, circumstances, and culture.
  • Utilize engagement and motivation enhancement strategies, research-based cognitive/behavioral strategies, diverse teaching methods, comprehensive assessments, collaborative goal setting, and service planning; provide concrete goods and services (including transportation) and advocacy; assess goal progress.
  • Complete and submit all clinical documentation as outlined by HOMEBUILDERS standards.
  • Monitor model fidelity and program outcome data; assist with analyzing and interpreting performance data; conduct quality assurance reviews of client records.
  • Meet ongoing client contact requirements and ensure compliance with state child welfare agency contracts.
  • Review, revise, and approve documents sent to external parties; collect, review, and approve expense reports and check requests per guidelines.
  • Meet contract guidelines for submission of billings, invoices, and service reports.
  • Participate in community groups and build relationships within the local community; maintain positive relationships with state child welfare agency staff.
  • Demonstrate flexibility with working hours, including some evenings and weekends as needed.
  • Complete other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
  • Masters degree in Social Work, Human Services, or equivalent field with two years of experience working with children and families (preferably in family preservation and stabilization); or Bachelors degree with four years of experience in the same area.
  • Preferably one year of supervisory experience.
  • Preferably active or able to obtain professional licensure issued by the state of work location (LCSW, LICSW, LMFT, LP, LPEI, LPC, or LMHC); licensure not required in Maine.
  • Ability to engage, develop, and maintain positive community relationships with diverse individuals.
  • Excellent assessment, therapeutic, and crisis intervention skills; strong verbal and written communication; ability to work under pressure and adapt to change.
  • Computer and typing skills sufficient to perform essential job functions.
  • Must live within sixty minutes of most families served and be able to work flexible hours including some evenings/weekends.
  • Must be 21 years old with a valid drivers license and at least 3 years of driving experience in the US; pass MVR check and maintain a reliable vehicle with insurance; pass criminal history screening including state and local child protection registries.
  • Must subscribe to and integrate the agency Statement of Faith, Mission Statement, and Commitment to Unity.

Notes: This position is remote with travel as needed. Bethanys compensation plan accounts for geographical differentials. Internal candidates may have different bonus eligibility.
