Overview Vaco is partnering with a client seeking a Mortgage Claims Analyst. In this role, you will manage and send invoices or claims to recover expenses related to foreclosed properties. This is a fully remote, contract-to-hire position offering up to $29 per hour.Responsibilities Review and reconcile loan histories across multiple accounts to identify eligible advances for reimbursement.Apply comprehensive knowledge of Investor, Insurer, and Agency guidelines, including FHLMC, FNMA, FHA, VA, RHS, and others.Compile advances, invoices, and supporting documentation into complete and accurate reimbursement claims.Submit claims through the appropriate internal and government systems in accordance with required procedures.Reconcile claim proceeds and written-off expenses to confirm all eligible amounts have been submitted.Post and reconcile claim funds to the appropriate accounts and advances.Provide user feedback on existing systems to support improvements by the product and engineering teams.Qualifications Minimum of 2 years of experience in mortgage default servicing, specifically in claims processing.Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.Ability to work independently and as part of a team.Additional Information Determining compensation for this role (and others) at Vaco/Highspring depends upon a wide array of factors including but not limited to the individual's skill sets, experience and training, licensure and certifications, office location and other geographic considerations, as well as other business and organizational needs.
