Valmont Industries - 2551 Valmont Drive - Responsibilities: Uses GMAW process to tack weld various small components to round or square shafts to make a pole assembly for structural welds; Manually position shaft on stationary turner to position shaft for assembly; Reads and interprets drawings to determine parts needed to assemble pole assembly; Uses jib crane for lifting various components, such as base plate and arm mounting simplex, into position for assembly; Maintains safety awareness and be alert at all times, to detect, avoid, and/or correct unsafe conditions
