Job Description Job Description Superintendent – REC Industries, IncA Construction Superintendent at REC Industries is a pivotal role on a construction site. It is responsible for overseeing and coordinating all construction activities from initiation to completion. The Construction Superintendent will ensure projects are completed safely, efficiently while ensuring adherence to project timelines, budgets and quality standards.First project will be on the TAMU campus replacing a chiller for a campus building. Will be responsible for a field crew of 6+ starting in early May.First project at TAMU will be nightshift before returning to normal day shift projects afterwards, most of which in the College Station area.Qualifications RequiredExperience: 10 years of experience in commercial general constructionHas experience with mechanical trades such as plumbing and has some exposure to polypropylene piping or socket fusionLicense: Must have a current and valid driver's licenseTravel: Must be able to travel to job site(s) as assignedSafety: Wear all necessary personal protective equipment (PPE) as required by the job tasks being performed.Technical Skills: Proficiency in construction management software (such as Trimble ProjectSight or Procore), knowledge of construction methods and materials, and ability to interpret subcontracts scope of work, purchase orders, project plans and specifications, blueprints, and all other applicable documentation.Soft Skills: Strong leadership, strong communication (both written and verbal), problem-solving, decision-making, time management, people management, ability to work on a team PreferredEducation: Associates Degree or Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Architecture or a related fieldExperience: 10+ years of experience in commercial general construction, Institutional Construction, and Industrial ConstructionSafety: Completed an OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 safety courseEquipment: Certified to operate any equipment that may be used on the project, owned or rented by the company, including but not limited to forklifts and scissor lifts.Trade Knowledge: Tradesman in Plumbing, HVAC Piping or HVAC SheetmetalBenefits:Competitive salary and performance bonuses based on project profitability.
