Overview Tecovas is passionate about offering an incredible customer experience for first-time boot buyers and western enthusiasts alike. We're looking for a talented Full-Time Assistant Store Manager who will contribute to a profitable and customer-centric environment through the development of a team and management of total store operations. They will support product flow and apply merchant and customer service skills to curate a compelling in-store experience.Responsibilities Customer Experience: Cultivates an environment of genuine customer connection; demonstrates extraordinary service and acts as a brand ambassador reflective of the company values; facilitates an energized pace, positive service environment and team development; delivers high-quality product services with attention to detail (branding, debossing, boot stretching, brim shaping, boot shines) to ensure a premium customer experience; understands an OMNI Channel business and implements processes and utilizes tools to better service the customer.Leadership & Team Management: Supports the Store Manager in recruiting, hiring, and retaining top talent; supports the Store Manager in creating and maintaining a succession strategy; fosters a culture of strong communication and teamwork to balance operational, visual and customer priorities; provides real-time feedback, coaching and training to team members, escalating issues as needed to the Store Manager.Training & Development: Delivers world-class, in-person training (in conjunction with e-learning) to all new team members; ensures timely completion of new hire training paths; meets regularly with the Tecovas HQ Retail Training team or field leaders to check in on team progress; suggests improvements or new programs related to retail training; ensures compliance of all training activities with established policies and best practices; works closely with store leadership to prepare, plan, schedule, and execute new hire training; coordinates ongoing in-store training including training for new products and services; attends regular training meetings to ensure understanding of necessary information.Visual Merchandising: Plans, presets, and executes visual directives on time; submits store photos and responds to feedback from HQ; participates in visual training calls with HQ partners; partners with store leadership to uphold VM standards and complete replenishment tasks; supports store presentation through sell-through and markdown cycles; maintains in-store marketing elements and presentation of store collateral; collaborates with store leadership to schedule visual set times for product launches; oversees sales floor and windows for lighting, cleanliness, and window displays.Business Operations: Upholds and ensures compliance with shipments, transfers, and restock standards; adheres to Loss Prevention procedures; sets clear objectives to drive a consistent store experience and maintain excellent operational and visual standards; demonstrates adaptability to effect positive change and enable the team to execute the shared vision.Qualifications 3+ years Retail Management experienceExceptional leadership, selling, and customer service skillsStrong merchant skills and a history of delivering financial resultsProven track record of hiring and developing great talentExperience in coaching, counseling & conflict resolutionUtmost character, honesty, and transparencyRequirements High School Diploma required (College Degree preferred)Must be at least 18 years of age or olderAbility to stand/walk for extended periods, reach overhead, bend, squat, and kneel while organizing and stocking inventoryAbility to deliver excellent customer service while implementing loss prevention practicesAble to lift up to 30 lbs regularly and perform store maintenance tasksMust be able to reliably commute to and from the work locationMust be available to work 40 hours per week including weekends (Friday, Saturday and Sunday), evenings and holidays as neededFull Time Benefits Insurance plans that pay 79-90% of health premiums and 100% of dental & vision insurance for family/dependentsFree BootsThe hourly rate for this position is $25-27/hr.
