An Inventory Control Associate at White Cap

  • Audits inventory to keep systems in balance during daily order processing.
  • Researches and resolves all issues, adjustments and discrepancies. Ensures compliance with established internal control procedures.
  • Assists in maintaining inventory accuracy. Completes and reviews cycle counts.
  • Maintains time control tables consistent with base tables, key and review allocations.
  • Receives products from vendors to check for quality. Communicates potential quality issues to buyers.
  • Maintains quality control and inventory control manuals.
  • Lifts and carries up to 50 pounds.
  • Follows company safety policy and procedures.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
  • Generally has 2-5 years of experience.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with inventory control, cycle counting, auditing, or inventory reconciliation in a warehouse or distribution environment
  • Proficiency using inventory management, ERP, or sales order systems (e.g., Oracle or similar software)
  • Strong attention to detail with the ability to identify, investigate, and resolve inventory discrepancies accurately
  • Experience operating forklifts and other material handling equipment safely; certification preferred
  • Ability to analyze inventory data, maintain accurate records, and support inventory accuracy initiatives
  • Knowledge of warehouse operations, including receiving, shipping, product tracking, and inventory movement
  • Strong organizational and communication skills with the ability to collaborate across warehouse, purchasing, and operations teams
  • Knowledge of construction or industrial products is a plus; bilingual (Spanish/English) is a plus
